All of us want to be happy all of the time. Happiness is great and being happy is just awesome. When we are happy we are super motivated to do anything and we are full of positive energy. Being happy is so great but being happy seems so hard sometimes. So, letโs ask how can we change ourselves to become happy instantly and enjoy it?
Happiness is a state of mind and there is one chemical that contributes to this happiness in our brain. The release of dopamine in our brain contributes to happiness. Dopamine is released in our brain when we do things we enjoy such as drinking, drugs, video games, cigarettes, sex, sugar, food, and even money. All those things give us instant gratification but they may not be healthy to sustain your dopamine levels.ย There are a few more ways to increase your dopamine levels and its by eating healthy food, supplements, meditation, and the best way to increase your dopamine levels is exercise. Exercise is awesome for stimulating your dopamine production and release. The best part about exercising to increase your dopamine levels is that it doesnโt even have to be intense.
There are many ways you can exercise to increase your happiness level. You can play any sport, lift weights at the gym, bike, golf, etc… Iโm sure you get the point. I want to share the best and probably easiest way you can boost your dopamine level and it is to just to go for a walk. Walking is so simple and you can do it anytime and anywhere you want outside or inside . You can literally walk yourself to happiness.
You can make walking fun by involving your family and taking a stroll around the block. On your walks, you can play games and you can meet more neighbors and more friends. The walks donโt have to be that long ten to fifteen minutes and you are done. Here is a tip if you think you donโt have time to walk for fifteen minutes, record an hour show and skip the commercials. Now instead of watching commercials you can be outside walking. Another tip could be always parking your car the furthest away from the door, those few extra steps can make a difference. ย Do you live a walking distance to a convenient store? If you do, walk to it just for the fun of it.
Now that you know what you can do to make yourself happy. Please make it a point to walk every day and Iโm not just talking from your car to your desk at work or school. Make it a point to walk just a bit more every day or week or month. Walk in the morning before work, or during lunch, or make it a point to walk after dinner. Walking just a bit will boost your happiness and it will motivate you to do more.
Happiness is just a step away. Take your first step towards happiness and start living happier now.
